Scouty vs Billo
Scouty and Billo solve different halves of UGC. Billo is a pay per video platform: you post a brief, creators from its pool apply, and you buy finished videos. Scouty is an AI agent that finds, signs, onboards and manages creators who keep posting for your campaign, and you pay those creators directly.

| Scouty | Billo | |
|---|---|---|
| Model | An AI growth hire for creator-led campaigns, on a subscription. You tell it what you need in one chat and it does the creator-side work. | A UGC video platform. A brand posts a brief, qualified creators apply, the brand selects creators and sends out the products. A managed service is sold separately.Source: Billo help center: how does Billo work, billo.app/managed-service |
| How creators are sourced | Two ways: vetted creators from the Creators Club matched to your brief, and a search of TikTok and Instagram with outreach, so the right creators apply. | Creators from Billo's own vetted pool apply to your brief and you choose among them. Billo states 5,000+ creators in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.Source: Billo help center: how does Billo work, billo.app/find-ugc-creators |
| Pricing, as published | Subscription plans with a free trial. Creator pay is separate and goes directly to the creator, with no commission. Creator management (the posting schedule and reminders) is its own subscription, bought per campaign.Scouty pricing | No public price list: the pricing address redirects to the business login. A Billo blog post says videos start at $99 per video, and the managed service page says it starts from $2,000 a month.Source: billo.app/pricing, Billo blog: how Billo pricing works, billo.app/managed-service |
| Who pays creators | You do, directly. The rate is the one you set in your brief, and the money goes straight from you to the creator. Scouty never holds it. | Creator compensation is included in the per video price, according to Billo's own pricing post.Source: Billo blog: how Billo pricing works |
| Contracts and signing | Scouty handles the contract step with each creator, using your contract. You can start a campaign from the contract and Scouty drafts the brief from it. | Billo's terms of service govern each order, and say the creator is obligated to assign the rights in an accepted video to the brand. A brand's own contract is not described on the pages we read.Source: Billo terms of service |
| Creator onboarding | Scouty walks each enrolled creator through your campaign's onboarding and activation steps, one step at a time. | Not described on the pages we read. |
| Ongoing creator management | A posting schedule for every creator with a reminder before each deadline, a group chat with your creators when you want one, and tracking of how the campaign's posts perform. | Self-serve orders are per video. Billo's managed service page describes Billo sourcing, briefing and following up with creators for you.Source: billo.app/managed-service |
| Chat or agent interface | Yes. The chat is the product: you ask for creators, changes and updates in plain words, and you can manage a campaign by text. | Not described on the pages we read. |
| API and MCP | Both. A REST API and an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT and developer tools can work inside your Scouty workspace with the permissions you give them. | Not described on the pages we read. |
| Best fit | Teams that want creators posting on TikTok and Instagram on a schedule, and want the finding, signing, onboarding and reminding done for them. | Ecommerce and direct to consumer brands in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom that want many short video ad variations for paid social and want to pay per finished video. Our reading, not a vendor statement. |
A video you buy, or a creator you keep
The unit Billo sells is the video. You brief once, pick from the creators who apply, and receive a file you can run as an ad.
The unit Scouty works in is the creator. It brings you creators who fit the brief, gets your contract signed, walks each one through onboarding, and then keeps a posting schedule with a reminder before every deadline. The output is a group of creators posting about your product on their own TikTok and Instagram accounts, week after week.
Where the money goes
With Billo you fund orders through the platform, and the creator's pay is inside the price of the video. Scouty is sold as subscription plans with a free trial. Creator pay is separate: what a creator earns is the rate you posted in your brief, paid by you directly to them, with no commission taken on the way. Creator management (the posting schedule and reminders) is its own subscription, bought per campaign.
Who does the operating
Billo's self-serve product is a tool your team operates per order, and its managed service adds a team that sources, briefs and follows up for you from $2,000 a month. Scouty puts that follow-up work on an agent: you ask for what you need in chat, and you can check on the campaign or change it by text.

When Billo is the better choice
- You want finished video files for paid social and have no need for the creator to post on their own account.
- You want to pay per video, with no subscription to start.
- You sell in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom and want a pool built for those three markets.
- You want Meta Partnership Ads or TikTok Spark Ads available as an add-on to an order.
When Scouty is the better choice
- You want creators who post repeatedly on their own TikTok and Instagram accounts, not a one-time file.
- You want sourcing, contract signing, onboarding and deadline reminders handled for you.
- You want to pay creators directly at a rate you set, with no commission.
- You want to run the campaign from a chat, or from Claude or ChatGPT through an MCP server.
What Scouty does not do
A fair comparison says this plainly.
- Scouty does not produce, edit or review campaign content. Creators make it, to your brief.
- Scouty does not process or hold creator payments. You pay each creator directly.
- Scouty works with creators on TikTok and Instagram.
