About Scouty

What Scouty is, how creators join, and how brands use it.

What is Scouty?
Scouty is an iMessage agent that texts UGC creators paid brand deals and runs the creator side of campaigns for brands. Scouty was previously known as Scout (scoutnow.me).
Is Scouty free for creators?
Yes. Joining costs $0. There is no application fee, no subscription, and no commission. Creators keep 100% of the rate.
How do I join Scouty?
Text JOIN to Scouty on iMessage, or use the WhatsApp link if iMessage is not available where you are. Scouty asks a few questions in the chat and for links to your strongest videos. That conversation is your application, and the team reviews every application individually.
Do I need a minimum number of followers?
No. There is no follower minimum. Selection is based on your content and your niche fit, not your audience size.
How do creators get paid?
The brand pays you directly, on terms agreed before you shoot anything. Scouty does not hold your money.
How much do Scouty brand deals pay?
Canvas UGC briefs typically pay $20 to $200 per video, and traditional UGC briefs generally run $80 to $2,500, depending on the creator, the deliverable, and the usage rights.
Is my profile public?
No. There is no public creator database, and nothing about you is visible to the public or to a brand without a plan. A brand on a plan whose campaign matches you can see a short card before you apply or accept: first name and last initial, profile photo, country, age, gender, languages, niches, TikTok and Instagram handles and public videos, reach and engagement bands, experience, fit for the campaign, and Scouty tier and badges. It never shows your last name, your portfolio, your phone number, or your email. A brand gets your contact details only when you are accepted onto its campaign, and you can pass on any invite with "Not for me".
How do brands use Scouty?
A brand signs in, shares its brief and contract, and Scouty finds and matches creators, handles contracts, walks each creator through the shoot, and sends the reminders. The brand follows every step in its dashboard.
Who is behind Scouty?
Scouty was founded by three former creators from Duke and Johns Hopkins who previously built the Dayli app and generated over 15 million views with their own content.

How Scouty works

What we do, what we don't, and where we sit in your campaign.

What does Scouty actually do?
Scouty sources and vets UGC creators for brand campaigns, runs the outreach at the rate you set in your brief, and introduces confirmed creators directly to the brand. After the introduction, we guide each enrolled creator through the campaign's onboarding and activation steps, send the reminders, can set up a group chat between the brand and its creators, and track how the campaign's posts perform. We don't produce or review campaign content, and payments go directly from the brand to the creator.
Is Scouty an agency, a marketplace, or software?
Closest to a hands-on sourcing partner. Experienced UGC growth leads source creators the way an in-house team would, using our own tooling. It is not a public marketplace: nothing about a creator is visible to the public or to a brand without a plan. You set up the campaign and the shortlist is assembled for you, and on a plan you can also look through Creators Club members who match your campaign and invite some of them.
Which platforms do your creators post on?
TikTok and Instagram. Every creator in the network maintains a public TikTok and/or Instagram profile with existing short-form content, and is approved through our application or referral process.
How do I get started?
Sign in at the partner dashboard with your Google account, then set up your campaign: you can start from your contract and Scouty drafts the brief for you. You pick one plan for your workspace, and it starts with a 7-day free trial.

For brands & agencies

Pricing, control, and what lands on your desk.

How much does Scouty cost?
Scouty is sold as one plan per workspace that covers every campaign you run. At launch pricing Starter is $199 a month, Growth is $499 a month, and Agency is $1,299 a month, or 30% less billed annually, and Custom Solution is built with the team. No card to start: browse creators and send your first 50 outreach emails free, then a 7-day free trial with a card on file, charged when the trial ends unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime, with effect from the end of the period you paid for. Creator pay is separate: that goes directly from you to the creator. The full table is on the pricing page.
Do you pay the creators for us?
No. Scouty does not process or facilitate payments between brands and creators. Those arrangements happen directly between you and the creator, outside of Scouty.
Can we browse your creator database ourselves?
On a plan, yes, in a way that protects creators. You can look through Creators Club members who match your live campaign and invite the ones you want. Before a creator applies or accepts, you see their first name and last initial, profile photo, country, age, gender, languages, niches, TikTok and Instagram handles and public videos, reach and engagement bands, experience, fit for the campaign, and Scouty tier and badges. You never see a last name, a portfolio, a phone number, or an email at that stage, and you do not message the creator yourself: Scouty sends the invite. Contact details reach you only when a creator is accepted onto your campaign. It is not a public marketplace: nothing is visible to the public or to a brand without a plan.
Do we keep creative control?
Yes. You define the brief (deliverables, compensation, timelines, and eligibility criteria) and you choose which creators to sign. Scouty prepares and publishes the brief creators see, and brings you people who match it.
How long does it take to get a shortlist?
It depends on the brief. A broad lifestyle brief moves faster than one that needs a specific niche, market, and content style. We scope realistic timing with you when we agree the brief rather than quoting a blanket turnaround.
What if a creator doesn't work out?
Scouty vets every creator before you see them, but we don't guarantee campaign results, and brands remain responsible for the accuracy of the campaign information they provide. How replacements are handled is covered in your service agreement, so raise it with us before you sign so it's written down.
Can we ask for creators of a specific gender or location?
Location, yes. Gender only where it genuinely relates to authentic representation in the campaign content and is consistent with applicable law. Scouty does not use ethnicity, age, follower count, or engagement metrics to decide which campaigns a creator can see.

For creators

Joining the Creators Club, getting matched, and getting paid.

Is the Creators Club free to join?
Yes. There are no fees and no commission taken from your rate. You keep 100% of the rate the brand sets for the campaign.
Who can join the Creators Club?
You need to be at least 18, maintain a public TikTok and/or Instagram profile with existing short-form content, and be approved through our application or referral process. Scouty doesn't offer open registration: every application is reviewed individually.
Do I need a big following?
No. Follower counts and engagement metrics are not used to restrict which campaigns you can see or apply to. We look at your content, your niche, and your fit for the brief.
Who can see my profile?
Scouty's internal team, and brands on a plan, in a limited way. A brand whose campaign matches you can see a short card before you apply or accept: your first name and last initial, profile photo, country, age, gender, languages, niches, TikTok and Instagram handles and public videos, reach and engagement bands, experience, fit for the campaign, and Scouty tier and badges. That card never shows your last name, your portfolio, your phone number, or your email, and the brand does not message you: Scouty sends any invite. A brand gets your contact details only when you are accepted onto its campaign. Nothing is visible to the public, to a brand without a plan, or to other creators. If a brand invites you and it is not a fit, tap "Not for me" and that campaign will not invite you again.
How and when do I get paid?
Directly by the brand, on the terms agreed for that campaign. The brand sets the rate in its brief and Scouty makes the introduction, but Scouty does not sit in the middle of the payment.
Will you email me constantly?
No. We email you when a campaign matches your profile, plus the administrative messages tied to a campaign you're part of. You can unsubscribe from campaign notifications at any time through your account settings or the unsubscribe link in any message.
How do I delete my account?
Email founders@tryscouty.com and we'll permanently delete it. If you only want the emails to stop, you don't need to close your account: the unsubscribe link in any campaign notification does that on its own.

Plans and prices are on the pricing page, and the binding version of everything above is in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
