Scout Terms of Service

Last Updated: October 21, 2026 Effective Date: October 21, 2026

Scout exists to do one thing well: connect brands with creators worth working with, and creators with opportunities worth taking.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain how Scout works, what you can expect from us, and the rules that apply when you use the Service. By accessing or using Scout, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

Part One — Using Scout

1. About Scout

Scout ("Scout," "we," "us," or "our") sources and vets creators for brand campaigns, then introduces confirmed creators directly to brands.

Scouty is Scout's AI messaging agent. Scouty talks with creators and brands by text message on iMessage and WhatsApp, by email, and on Discord, and tells you that it is an AI when you ask. Our team reads these conversations and may take over a thread at any time.

We do not process or facilitate payments between brands and creators. Any payment arrangements occur outside of Scout.

Scout is a trade name of Dayli Inc. Throughout these Terms, references to "Scout" mean Dayli Inc.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

Creators

To create a Scout account, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Maintain a public TikTok and/or Instagram profile with existing short-form content.
  • Be approved through Scout's application or referral process.

Scout does not currently offer open registration. All creator applications are reviewed individually.

Scout currently accepts creator applications from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Applicants from other countries are placed on a waitlist.

Brands

Brands sign in to the Scout partner dashboard with Google, set up their own campaigns, and choose a plan. A brand may also have a separately signed service agreement with Dayli Inc.

Scout does not provide a public creator directory or public creator search. A brand sees a creator's full profile only in connection with that brand's own campaign, and only after that creator has applied to or been confirmed for it. Contact details are shared with a brand only when the creator is accepted onto that brand's campaign. Before a creator applies, a brand may see the limited Creators Club card and browse profile described in Section 3 and the Creator search results described there, which carry no contact details.

A brand may access its own campaign data and act on its own campaigns through tools and AI assistants it authorizes, such as an API token or an AI assistant connected to its Scout account, with no more access than the brand has in the partner dashboard. The brand is responsible for everything those tools do on its behalf, and the AI assistants and other services a brand uses this way are the brand's own service providers, not Scout's.

3. Creator Profiles & Matching

Profile Visibility

Scout does not offer a public creator directory, and Scout's internal team is the only party with general access to creator profiles.

Apart from the Creators Club cards and Creator search results described below, a brand sees a creator's name, Instagram and TikTok handles, portfolio link, and Scout standing tier and badges only in connection with that brand's own campaign, and only after that creator has applied to or been confirmed for it. A creator's contact details, meaning phone number and email address, are shared with a brand only when the creator is accepted onto that brand's campaign, which includes a creator who has signed that campaign's contract. Creators who declined the campaign or were skipped are not shown to the brand.

Creator profiles are never publicly searchable and are not visible to other creators.

Creators Club Cards

Approved creators in Scout's network are members of the Creators Club. A brand that has a live campaign taking applications, and whose plan has not ended, may see a limited card for Creators Club members who match that campaign and have not applied to it, and may open a limited browse profile from a card. A card and its browse profile show only:

  • A first name and last initial;
  • A country the creator works in;
  • Content niches;
  • The creator's TikTok and Instagram handles, with links to those public profiles;
  • The profile picture from the creator's public TikTok or Instagram account;
  • Public videos the creator has posted on those accounts, with the public view count of each;
  • General ranges for audience size and engagement, not exact figures;
  • An experience level;
  • How closely the creator fits the campaign;
  • Scout's own tier and badges for the creator; and
  • On the browse profile, the creator's age, the languages they create in, and their gender where the creator has provided it.

To show these videos reliably, Scout keeps copies of up to 10 of a Creators Club member's public videos and their preview images, and deletes them when the creator leaves the Creators Club, changes the account they post from, or deletes their account.

A card or browse profile never shows a creator's last name, portfolio link or uploaded portfolio files, phone number, email address, date of birth, or exact follower count. A brand can filter cards by the items shown on them and by the items shown on the browse profile, including language, age range and gender, but cannot search for a creator by name. Seeing a card or browse profile does not give a brand a creator's full profile or contact details.

A brand's plan pays for access to Scout's service, which includes viewing these limited cards and browse profiles and asking Scout to send an invitation. It does not give the brand a creator's contact details or a copy of a creator's full profile.

Cards are not a public directory. They are not shown to the public or to other creators, and they are not shown to a brand whose plan has ended.

A creator is not shown on a card for a campaign that creator has already applied to, passed on, been invited to, or been removed from. A creator is also not shown on any card while they have paused new deals in their account, where that setting is available, after they have opted out of Scouty's text messages, or after they have unsubscribed using the unsubscribe link in an invitation email or a deals email.

A creator who does not want to be shown to brands on these cards at all can ask us to stop by emailing founders@tryscouty.com, or can ask us to delete their account as described in Section 8.

Creator Search Results

A brand running a campaign, including a brand using Scout without a plan, can ask Scout to search for creators who fit it. Creator search results show creators Scout has found through public social-media information who are not Creators Club members. Each result shows the creator's public TikTok or Instagram handle and the profile picture from that public account, and results are ranked by how well the creator's public content fits the campaign. A brand can open a result to see public videos the creator has posted on those accounts, with the public view count of each.

A search result never shows the creator's email address or phone number. Where Scout emails such a creator about a brand's campaign, Scout sends the email, and the brand does not receive the creator's email address unless the creator applies and is accepted onto that campaign. Search results are not a public directory and are not shown to the public or to other creators.

Optional Demographic Information

Creators may choose to provide demographic information such as gender identity or location.

This information is used for matching purposes. A country the creator works in appears on the Creators Club card described above, and a creator's age and, where the creator has provided it, gender appear on the browse profile. Other demographic information is only shared with brands after a confirmed match.

Campaign Notifications

Scout may notify creators about matching campaigns by email, by text message on iMessage or WhatsApp, and on Discord. Message frequency varies, and the number of campaign opportunity messages Scout sends is limited.

Creators opt in to text messaging by texting JOIN to Scouty or by ticking the text-consent box on the creator signup form. Replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPTOUT, or OPT OUT stops messages on every messaging channel, and replying START starts them again.

Creators may unsubscribe from these emails at any time through account settings or the unsubscribe link included in each message.

Brand Invitations

A brand on a workspace plan may invite Creators Club members shown on its cards to apply to its campaign. The brand does not contact the creator and does not write the invitation. Scout sends it, either as one text message from Scouty in a thread where the creator has opted in to text messaging, or as one email. The invitation names the brand, or a description of the brand where the campaign is confidential, and the campaign's pay. Scout sends no reminder for an invitation and limits how many brand invitations a creator can receive in a week.

A creator may apply, decline, or ignore an invitation. A brand can invite a creator to a given campaign only once: after an invitation has been sent, that brand cannot invite the same creator to that campaign again, whether the creator declines, ignores it, or applies. An invitation does not share a creator's contact details with the brand. If a creator applies in response to an invitation, the brand may accept the application right away, and the creator's contact details are then shared with that brand as described under Profile Visibility.

The opt-outs described above apply to invitations too. Replying STOP stops invitations by text along with every other message, and the unsubscribe link in an invitation email stops invitation emails.

Matching

Scout combines the reach of an open platform with the curation of an agency.

Campaign eligibility is determined using information such as:

  • Location
  • Gender (only where genuinely required for authentic representation)
  • Content niche
  • Creator preferences

Scout does not use ethnicity, age, follower count, or engagement metrics to determine campaign visibility.

A brand choosing which Creators Club members to invite can see and filter by what is on the card, including the general ranges for audience size and engagement. An invitation is in addition to the campaigns a creator can already see, and not being invited does not stop a creator from applying to a campaign that is visible to them.

Brands may only request gender or location requirements where reasonably necessary for authentic representation and consistent with applicable law.

Automated Tools

Scout uses automated tools, including AI models, to help review applications and public content, evaluate and score creators, match creators to campaigns, draft and send Scouty's replies, and compute a creator's standing tier from their activity.

Our team reviews applications, and a member of our team will review any automated outcome if you ask.

Part Two — Campaigns & Payments

4. Billing

Plans

Scout is sold to brands as subscription plans. There are two kinds of plan, and the dashboard shows which one applies to a brand:

  • Workspace plans. A workspace plan is one plan for a brand's workspace. It covers the campaigns in that workspace and includes monthly allowances. Workspace plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually.
  • Campaign plans. A brand that bought a plan for a single campaign keeps that plan on the terms it was bought under, until it ends or the brand moves to a workspace plan. A campaign plan is sized by the number of creators the brand signs in a billing period, and only signed creators count toward it. Campaign plans run monthly or for a longer term of 3, 6, or 12 months, and are billed in advance for the term. Additional creator capacity can be added to a campaign plan.

A brand may also agree a custom plan with our team.

Where a brand has separately signed a service agreement with Dayli Inc., that agreement governs the pricing, payment terms, and committed services it covers.

Prices

The price and the allowances of a plan are those shown on our pricing page, in the dashboard, or at checkout at the time of purchase. Plan pricing is always shown before purchase. Prices are in US dollars.

We may show a launch price together with a higher regular price. The price a brand subscribes at continues to apply to that subscription until the brand changes plans, or until we give notice of a change as described in Section 13.

Free Trial

A brand can start without a payment card. Without a card, a brand can browse creators Scout finds and have Scout send up to 50 outreach emails to creators for its first campaign, at no charge. This free use is available once per company.

A brand's first workspace plan may start with a free trial. For a workspace plan:

  • A payment card is required to start the trial.
  • The trial lasts 7 days and starts at checkout.
  • Unless the brand cancels before the trial ends, the card is charged the price of the chosen plan when the trial ends. For an annual plan, that is the full annual price. The card is then charged again at the start of each billing period until the brand cancels.
  • A trial that is canceled ends at once and is not charged.
  • During the trial, the allowances are the trial allowances shown on our pricing page, including 50 more outreach emails than before the trial.
  • A trial is available once per company and once per payment card. Where a company or a card has already had a trial, we may start the plan without a trial, or end a repeat trial and charge the price of the plan immediately.

A trial on a campaign plan runs on the terms shown in the dashboard when it was started.

Renewal

Plans renew automatically. At the end of each billing period or term, the plan renews for another period of the same length and the payment method on file is charged, until the plan is canceled.

Changing Plans

If a brand moves to a larger workspace plan, the new plan applies at once, a new billing period starts that day, and the charge for the new plan is reduced by a credit for the unused part of the period already paid for. A move to a smaller workspace plan, or from annual to monthly billing, takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.

Allowances and Usage

A workspace plan includes monthly allowances, which are shown on our pricing page and in the dashboard. They include a number of active campaigns, a number of outreach credits, and a number of Creators Club invitations. One outreach credit is one creator Scout emails about the brand's campaign for the first time. One invitation is used when Scout sends it, or when the invited creator applies.

A workspace plan also includes a fair-use amount of creator search and outreach work each month. The dashboard shows how much of it has been used as a percentage. When it reaches 100%, new creator searches wait until the monthly reset or until the brand moves to a larger plan.

Allowances and usage reset every month, on monthly and annual plans alike. Unused allowances and usage do not carry over to the next month.

Creator Management Add-On

Managing a campaign's creators after they are activated, for example posting reminders, digests, and Discord campaign operations, is offered to brands as a separate subscription. A brand's first campaign may have creator management free for 14 days, for up to 20 creators, without a payment card, once per company. When the free period ends, creator management pauses until the brand buys it; nothing is charged automatically. It is bought per campaign, with or without a workspace plan and including during a free trial, is priced by the number of creators managed on that campaign as shown on our pricing page, and is billed in advance, separately from any workspace plan. Apart from that free period, it is not included in a free trial at no charge. It renews automatically until it is canceled, and it can be canceled at any time from the campaign's creator management settings, which takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. If a campaign has more creators than its add-on covers, creator management continues for 7 days and then pauses until the brand moves to a size that covers the campaign. Signing and onboarding creators are included in every workspace plan.

Payment

Brand billing runs through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe-hosted pages, and Scout never receives or stores full card numbers.

Invoices are issued directly by Dayli Inc.

If a payment fails, Scout may retry the charge, suspend services, end the plan, or any combination of these. If a brand disputes a charge with its card issuer or a charge is reversed, Scout may end the plan. Any fees imposed by your financial institution remain your responsibility.

Cancellation

A brand may cancel a plan at any time, from its workspace settings in the dashboard or in the Stripe billing portal, whichever the dashboard offers for that plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. A free trial that is canceled ends at once.

When a Workspace Plan Ends

When a workspace plan ends, whether because it was canceled, because a trial ended without payment, or because a payment could not be collected, the workspace's campaigns are paused and stop recruiting. Creator management is a separate subscription and does not end with the workspace plan: it keeps running, and keeps being billed, until the brand cancels it. When a brand cancels a workspace plan in the dashboard, we ask whether creator management should stay on or be canceled too.

For 7 days after the plan ends, the brand can still view its results but cannot change them. After those 7 days, the brand's access to creator and results data, meaning applicants, creators, search results, and performance, ends until the brand starts a plan again. The brand's campaigns, briefs, contracts, and billing records stay available. Starting a new plan does not republish campaigns automatically.

The end of a plan does not affect any contract between a brand and a creator.

Refunds

All fees are non-refundable. If a brand cancels a plan, the plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, and no refund or credit is given for any unused part of a term, including a prepaid annual term or a prepaid term of 3, 6, or 12 months, except where a refund is required by law. The credit applied when a brand moves to a larger workspace plan, described under Changing Plans, is the only exception.

Creator Pay

Creator pay is not part of a plan. We do not process or facilitate payments between brands and creators, and any creator payment arrangements occur outside of Scout.

5. Campaign Creation

Brands provide campaign requirements—including deliverables, compensation, timelines, and eligibility criteria—through the partner dashboard or their service agreement.

A brand may upload its own contract as a PDF. Automated tools read that contract to draft the campaign brief.

Scout prepares and publishes the campaign brief presented to creators.

Although Scout reviews submissions for compensation quality and general fit, this review does not constitute verification of a brand's identity, financial standing, or the accuracy of information provided.

6. Scope of Scout's Responsibility

Scout sources, vets, confirms, and introduces creators to brands. For creators enrolled in a campaign, Scout also guides onboarding and activation steps, sends reminders, may set up a group chat between a brand and its creators, runs a Discord community for some campaigns, and tracks the public performance of campaign posts. Which of these services Scout provides for a campaign depends on the brand's plan and on whether the brand has the creator management add-on described in Section 4, and they may stop when the brand's plan or add-on ends.

Scout does not:

  • Process creator payments
  • Produce or review campaign content
  • Guarantee campaign results

Brands remain solely responsible for the accuracy of all campaign information they provide, including compensation, deliverables, timelines, and requirements.

Scout is not responsible for inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information supplied by brands, regardless of whether that information appears in a campaign brief.

Creators should independently evaluate every opportunity before accepting a campaign.

Part Three — Community Standards

7. Equal Opportunity

Scout is committed to providing equal access to opportunities.

Discrimination based on gender identity, ethnicity, or any other protected characteristic is prohibited.

For creators, demographic information has no effect on general platform access.

For brands, demographic information may only be used where necessary to support authentic representation within campaign content.

Questions or concerns regarding discrimination may be sent to:

founders@tryscouty.com

8. Suspension & Termination

Scout may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice.

Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Violating these Terms
  • Misusing the platform
  • Providing false information
  • Conduct inconsistent with Scout's standards

Scout may also remove creators who no longer meet network quality standards, including creators whose content quality, activity level, or public social presence no longer aligns with the platform.

Creators wishing to permanently delete their account may contact:

founders@tryscouty.com

9. Changes to the Service

Scout is an evolving platform.

We may modify, suspend, discontinue, or replace any feature of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

Part Four — Legal Terms

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Actions or content of third parties;
  • Unauthorized access to user content or communications.

Scout's aggregate liability for all claims shall not exceed the greater of:

  • US$100, or
  • the total amount you have paid Scout during the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Scout, Dayli Inc., and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • your use of the Service;
  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your infringement of another person's rights; or
  • content you submit through Scout.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13. Changes to These Terms

Scout may update these Terms from time to time.

For material changes, we will provide notice by email or through the Service. Updated Terms become effective on the Effective Date stated at the beginning of these Terms.

Continued use of Scout after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable. The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Scout regarding the Service.

If a signed service agreement between Scout and a client conflicts with these Terms regarding pricing or scope of services, the signed agreement will control.
