Scouty vs JoinBrands
Scouty and JoinBrands both connect brands with UGC creators, from opposite directions. JoinBrands is an open marketplace: you hire from profiles or launch a campaign, and a platform fee is added to each creator payment. Scouty is an AI agent that sources, signs, onboards and manages creators for you, and you pay those creators directly.

| Model | An AI growth hire for creator-led campaigns, on a subscription. You tell it what you need in one chat and it does the creator-side work. | A creator marketplace with a free pay as you go plan and three paid subscriptions. | How creators are sourced | Two ways: vetted creators from the Creators Club matched to your brief, and a search of TikTok and Instagram with outreach, so the right creators apply. | You browse creator profiles and hire directly, or launch a campaign, set your targeting, and invite creators or let them apply. JoinBrands states 4M+ creators and affiliates. Paid plans add what it calls TikTok Shop Outreach Agents.Source: joinbrands.com, joinbrands.com/pricing |
| Pricing, as published | Subscription plans with a free trial. Creator pay is separate and goes directly to the creator, with no commission. | Contracts and signing | Scouty handles the contract step with each creator, using your contract. You can start a campaign from the contract and Scouty drafts the brief from it. | JoinBrands says it takes care of the legal aspects, including contracts and invoices. A brand's own contract is not described on the pages we read.Source: joinbrands.com, JoinBrands terms of service |
| Creator onboarding | Scouty walks each enrolled creator through your campaign's onboarding and activation steps, one step at a time. | Not described on the pages we read. |
| Ongoing creator management | A posting schedule for every creator with a reminder before each deadline, a group chat with your creators when you want one, and tracking of how the campaign's posts perform. | Campaign types include retainers and content that the creator also posts, with performance analytics and one click rehiring. An agent you instruct in plain words to run a campaign is not described on the pages we read.Source: joinbrands.com/pricing |
| API and MCP | Both. A REST API and an MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT and developer tools can work inside your Scouty workspace with the permissions you give them. | An MCP server for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, described as read-only access to your campaigns, jobs, content and messages. A public REST API is not described on the pages we read.Source: joinbrands.com/pricing |
| Best fit | Teams that want creators posting on TikTok and Instagram on a schedule, and want the finding, signing, onboarding and reminding done for them. | Ecommerce, Amazon and TikTok Shop sellers that want a lot of content and affiliate creators at low listed prices, and are comfortable choosing from a very large open pool themselves. Our reading, not a vendor statement. |
A pool of millions to pick from, or a short list brought to you
JoinBrands leads with scale. It states more than four million creators and affiliates, creator profiles you can book directly, and campaigns that creators apply to after you set the targeting. If you know what you are looking for and enjoy choosing, that breadth is the point, and its free plan lets you try it without a subscription.
Scouty narrows instead of widening. It matches creators from a vetted Creators Club to your brief, searches TikTok and Instagram and does the outreach for wider reach, and brings you a set of people to say yes or no to. There is no public creator database to search, and you do not screen a queue.
Both speak MCP, and the two servers do different things
JoinBrands lists an MCP server on its pricing page, for Claude, Cursor and VS Code, and describes it as read-only access to your campaigns, jobs, content and messages. That is a real convenience for reporting from an assistant.
Scouty's MCP server and REST API are how an assistant works inside your Scouty workspace, with the permissions you give it. The larger difference is the agent behind them: on Scouty the sourcing, the contract step, the onboarding walk and the reminders are the agent's job in the first place.
A fee on every creator payment, or none
JoinBrands adds a platform fee to each creator payment, from 15% on the free plan down to 8% on its largest plan, and payment runs through the platform. Scouty charges a subscription and adds nothing to creator pay: you set the rate in your brief and pay each creator directly.

When JoinBrands is the better choice
- You want to start with no subscription and pay only a platform fee on what you order.
- You sell on TikTok Shop or Amazon and want affiliate creators and shoppable videos from the same tool.
- You want Spark Ad and Partnership Ad codes included with the content.
- You want to choose creators yourself from a very large open pool, by state or city if you need that.
When Scouty is the better choice
- You want creators found, screened and brought to you, not a pool to search.
- You want your own contract signed and each creator walked through onboarding.
- You want a posting schedule with a reminder before each deadline, run for you.
- You want to pay creators directly, with no platform fee added to their pay.
What Scouty does not do
A fair comparison says this plainly.
- Scouty does not produce, edit or review campaign content. Creators make it, to your brief.
- Scouty does not process or hold creator payments. You pay each creator directly.
- Scouty works with creators on TikTok and Instagram.
