Scouty vs Twirl

Scouty and Twirl sit on different sides of UGC. Twirl produces finished ad videos: you buy video credits, brief its vetted creators, and an account manager sees each project through to edited files. Scouty is an AI agent that sources, signs, onboards and manages creators who post for your campaign, and you pay them directly.

Edited ad files, or creators posting week after week

Twirl's unit is a finished ad. One credit buys one video with subtitles and music, a clean edit and a final edit in two formats, with a professional content review included. Twirl says it delivers the level of service of a UGC agency on a technology platform, and its own FAQ addresses why it costs more than UGC platforms.

Scouty does not make or edit anything. It recruits creators for a campaign, gets your contract signed, onboards each one and keeps a posting schedule with a reminder before every deadline. What you end up with is a group of creators publishing on their own TikTok and Instagram accounts.

An account manager, or an agent

With Twirl, a named person keeps your project moving: Twirl says a dedicated project manager handles creator communication, timelines and delivery, by Slack or email. With Scouty that follow-up is done by an AI agent you talk to in a chat or by text, and you can also reach it from Claude or ChatGPT through an MCP server.

Creator pay inside the price, or outside it

A Twirl credit is one price for the whole video, and Twirl says that price is the same across creators. On Scouty the subscription pays for the agent, and creator pay is a separate amount that you set in your brief and send directly to each creator, with no commission taken.

What else Twirl publishes

  • Each credit includes a clean edit and a final edit in 2 formats, with 2 revision rounds, and credits never expire.Source: usetwirl.com/pricing
  • Whitelisting is offered as an add-on: the creator posts the final video on their own profile, the brand boosts it as a partnership ad, and the post stays live for 30+ days.Source: usetwirl.com/pricing

When Twirl is the better choice

  • You want edited, captioned ad videos delivered in several formats, ready to upload.
  • You want a person on Slack or email managing the project for you.
  • You want to buy a few videos at a time, with credits that never expire and no subscription.
  • Your market is the United Kingdom, where Twirl says it is focused alongside the United States.

When Scouty is the better choice

  • You want creators posting on their own accounts on a schedule, not files to upload yourself.
  • You want to set what creators are paid and pay them directly.
  • You want your own contract signed and each creator onboarded step by step.
  • You want to run the campaign from a chat, or from an AI assistant through an API and MCP server.

What Scouty does not do

A fair comparison says this plainly.

  • Scouty does not produce, edit or review campaign content. Creators make it, to your brief.
  • Scouty does not process or hold creator payments. You pay each creator directly.
  • Scouty works with creators on TikTok and Instagram.

Scouty and Twirl, in short

Short answers, in plain words. Each one stands on its own.

What is the difference between Scouty and Twirl?
Twirl is a production service. You buy video credits, brief creators from its network, and get back edited ad videos, with a project manager overseeing each project. Scouty produces nothing: it is an AI agent that finds creators, gets your contract signed, onboards them and holds them to a posting schedule on their own accounts.
How much does Twirl cost?
As shown by the calculator on usetwirl.com on October 9, 2026, in United States dollars: $475 per video, falling to $440 at 10 videos and $325 at 60, with a minimum first purchase of 4 credits. Twirl says it charges no additional platform fees. It also prices in pounds and euros.
Does Twirl offer whitelisting?
Yes, as an add-on. Twirl says the creator posts your final video on their own profile, you boost it as a partnership ad, and the organic post stays live for 30+ days. Twirl also says it is not an influencer platform and that most of its creators have under 10k followers.
Is Scouty a Twirl alternative?
Only if what you need is creators rather than files. Scouty does not produce or edit videos, so for finished ad creative Twirl is the closer fit. For a roster of creators who post about your product on a schedule, with the signing and reminders handled, Scouty is built for that.
